Terms of Use

Last Updated: 15 June 2026

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the TrueDraft pre-launch resume scoring tool available at this site (the “Service”). By uploading a resume, pasting resume text, or submitting your email address, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What the Service is

TrueDraft is in a pre-launch preview. The Service lets you upload a resume (PDF or DOCX) or paste resume text and receive an estimated “ATS Readiness Score” with a sub-metric breakdown and illustrative, role-matched before/after examples. It does not tailor, rewrite, or export your resume, and it is not yet generally available. Features, availability, and these Terms may change before public launch.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using it, you represent that you meet this requirement and that any resume content you submit is your own or that you are authorized to submit it.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Upload content that is not a resume, or that is unlawful, infringing, or malicious;
  • Upload another person’s resume or personal data without their permission;
  • Attempt to probe, scan, overload, or circumvent rate limits or security controls on the Service, or access it through automated means except as expressly permitted;
  • Reverse engineer, scrape, or resell the Service or its outputs.

We may rate-limit, suspend, or refuse access to protect the Service and other users.

5. The score is an estimate, not a guarantee

The ATS Readiness Score and any suggestions are provided for informational purposes only, on an “as is” and “as available” basis. They are automated estimates, not a guarantee of interview outcomes, employment, or that any specific applicant-tracking system will parse or rank your resume in a particular way. The Service does not provide career, recruiting, or legal advice.

The before/after panel works as follows: the “after” suggestions are illustrative, role-matched templatesdrawn from our example library, while the “before” panel shows your own parsed resume content round-tripped back to you. That content is displayed only to you, in your own browser session, and is described in our Privacy Policy (Section 2b).

6. Your content and intellectual property

You keep all rights to the resume content you submit. You grant TrueDraft a limited, revocable licence to process that content solely to generate your score and, where you have given consent, to retain it as described in the Privacy Policy. The Service, including its software, design, scoring logic, and example library, remains the property of TrueDraft.

7. Privacy and email

How we handle your resume and email address (including retention, sub-processors, and how to delete your data) is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. If you opt in, we will email you once when TrueDraft launches; you can withdraw consent and delete your data at any time using the link in that email.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TrueDraft and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of opportunity, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Service. The Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total aggregate liability of TrueDraft and its operators to you for all claims arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will not exceed one hundred dollars ($100). Because the pre-launch Service is provided free of charge, this aggregate cap reflects the limited nature of the Service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any warranty or liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable mandatory consumer protection law in your jurisdiction. If you are a consumer located in the European Union, United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction that does not permit such exclusions or limitations, the limitations above apply only to the fullest extent permitted by that mandatory law, and nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

9. Governing law and severability

Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. This choice of law does not override any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have under the laws of your country or state of residence.

Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

10. Changes to the Service and these Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service, and may update these Terms, at any time during the pre-launch period. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
